Delio is a young ocean leader with a profound passion for the marine environment. Born and raised in Lospalos, Timor-Leste, he holds a Masters degree in Environmental Sciences from Universitas Diponegoro and Masters degree in Global Fisheries Sciences from PKNU. He has cultivated a diverse skill set and maintains an unwavering commitment to fostering an abundant and healthy marine life. This led Delio to accumulate valuable experience as a Fisheries and Aquaculture Investigator staff at the National Institute of Fisheries and Aquaculture under the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries, and Forestry. Delio is also  the founder and coordinator of the Sustainable Ocean Alliance Timor-Leste. With his team and other co-founders, this initiative brings together a community of young leaders, advocates, divers, entrepreneurs, mentors, and partners, fostering a collaborative platform to share, learn, and take action in protecting our oceans. Their initiatives include mangrove restoration, ocean bootcamp, and various activities aimed at promoting a sustainable and healthy ocean ecosystem.
